Jobs Now And How

“CALIFORNIA WITH A FREE ENTERPRISE”

FACT:  Our current 40-member Senate had nine staffers with pay boosts leading to an annualized increase of $152,000.  At least 87 assembly staff members received raises totaling $430,000 on an annualized basis!  [Open Records Act; 08/18/09]

The amount of money that our mentally ill government continually wastes, day in and day out, year in and year out, is just plain crazy and irresponsible.

Our current state of affairs is a large government bureaucracy with high taxation.  As we are all experiencing at this very moment, this kills our economy.  Our current government has the average citizen thinking that we should pay more taxes.  That is insanity!

A new and improved thought is to give money to the working man and his family.  They will spend that money.  Spending money equals more sales tax which equals a balanced budget.  In doing so, California will set an example for the nation.  California has everything it needs to move forward in becoming the wealthiest state in the nation.

Simply put, a small government with low taxation and good leadership equals a robust economy.

Just recently, politicians were saying, “Those big corporations with high salaries and private jets, steeling your money, over working you, and treating you unfairly.  We’ll show them, we’ll raise their taxes!  We will give them more restrictions and we will impose more inspections, and we will also fine them heavily; especially those millionaire owners!  Surely they can pay more than 50% of their income taxes”.

The result:  Well, our mentally ill government drove out many manufacturers, and many millionaires and billionaires.  The smaller businesses including the “mom and pop” shops are trying to wait it out, and some are seriously looking to get out of California!  Those who have left have gone to a more taxation friendly state where they are wanted, and not punished or ridiculed for their success.  Our California government is not supportive to businesses and is not business friendly.  California is opposite.  This is why other states now prosper from the businesses which were once our mainstay.  There are only 4 states that rank lower than us in being business friendly.

Simply put, our Government IS the problem.

We all saw two of our largest auto companies go under because of their poor management and their willingness to pay outrageous wages and benefits to their union employees.  Now the State of Michigan has the highest unemployment rate in the nation.  It is bad management and bad elected officials that let this kind of atrocity happen.  The people then blame the unions.  However, no one has put a gun to managements head and made them sign those outrageous contracts.

Top management was either corrupted or bribed, and in some way this resulted in the auto companies going broke.  It was a loss for the manufacturer, the worker, the state and the nation.  Ironically, the union, and the auto company management were so greedy they neglected to foresee the inevitable cutting of their own throats.  Their gift of wisdom, given to them by God was blinded by a heavy cloud of greed.  Sad.

California ranks 46th on the list of “happiest states”.  California currently has some of the highest taxes and energy costs of any state in the nation, coupled with our state’s budget woes.

Here is just another sad example of our mentally ill government’s failures.  Here in California, another institution is the Hollywood motion picture and TV production industry.  The workers wanted more pay, the producer wanted higher profit which resulted in the signing of outrageous contracts with the unions, not to mention, all of the restrictions the government placed on them.  Thus, the cloud of greed creeps up again.  As a result, Hollywood is only doing one-half of their business in California.

Question:  Have the politicians sealed California’s fate?  Can we still get the businesses which were once our mainstay to return to our Golden State, California?  Can California’s economy recover?

Answer:  A resounding YES!

I propose to give them tax-free incentives.  The richer the corporation, the better!  This results in more commercial real estate investments, which means more equipment, which results in more manufacturing and the most important contribution, MORE JOBS!  Remember, if the corporations are not making money, they are laying off workers.  Marginal profits equal plants closing and/or moving to another state or cutting costs.  Thus, wanting all manufacturers to make money and all workers receiving a fair salary adds to the robust economy.  Big businesses cause smaller businesses to flourish.

FACT:  Eighty percent of all employees work for small businesses.

The changes I propose will be so radical with education, our unions, and our government bureaucracy and the money changers, that I am sure my life will be on the line.

HIGHLIGHTS OF MY PLAN FOR A NEW CALIFORNIA

Ø All business which left California will be urged to return to the new California, the #1 friendliest State for businesses in the Nation.  My plan includes preventative measures to stop our unemployment rate from reaching the second highest in the nation.  Some of the tax-free or low tax incentives would include the greater the number of employees employed at a given company, the greater their tax break.  Incentives would exist for companies employing more than 1000 employees.  The state would also collect the bottommost possible sales tax and the bottommost possible rate.

Question:  How would the state survive?

Answer:  Bottom line, this will be accomplished by everyone working which results in everyone spending.  Additionally, elimination of all government waste and government downsizing shall promote a healthy economy. (See Government Reform)

California Patent

This will be a stimulus for California.  Entrepreneurs who do not or have not, in the past, qualified for a U.S. patent will be encouraged to apply for a California Patent.

I will propose the following:

Ø A State of Emergency will be declared.

Ø That a moratorium would be placed on all union strikes until the economy has recovered.

Ø That oil companies place a moratorium on the price of regular gas increasing beyond or exceeding $1.99 per gallon; however, only until California has a 5% or less unemployment rate.

Ø That oil companies drill on all known and unknown oil sites.  That these oil companies hire as many employees as they can.

Ø That all oil wells be primed on an ongoing, permanent basis.  This is particularly important in order to preserve California’s supply of oil in case the Unites States experiences a “shut-off” from an outside resource.

Ø That California would have oil refineries to produce fuel and natural gas in abundance ready to sell to our government and to the other 49 states.  Putting it bluntly, California will not be caught with its pants down.

FACT:  There have been rivers and lakes of oil running all over California and the world for the last billion years.  It is a natural phenomenon.  So the oil will not ruin our environment.  Carpentaria Beach, for example; Carpentaria is an Indian name, meaning “canoe building’.  Why did the Indians build canoes there?  They had an abundance of wood and OIL.  The oil turned into tar.  They used the tar as a sealant for the canoes.  It was readily available on the land and at the shoreline.  To this day you can walk on Carpentaria Beach and have oil or tar stick to your feet.  The oil has been bubbling out of the ground long before man arrived.
