As your governor, my number one promise to you is to remove all pedophiles from the State of California. We can do this.  We as parents care about our children. They are our gift from God and it is our responsibility to keep them from harm. I urge you to e-mail family, friends, associates, colleagues, neighbors, and acquaintances urging them to vote for Douglas R. Hughes for Governor of California. Let’s get these sick pedophiles out of our neighborhoods for good.

Currently, our government places pedophiles in prison. After short sentences, they are released back into our neighborhoods to rape our children. How mentally ill can one government be?  Why should Californians tolerate this practice?

As governor I will introduce legislation to impose mandatory expulsion of convicted pedophiles from the State of California as a condition of release from prison.

Pedophiles in the State of California will have three (3) choices:

1.     Leave our State of California permanently;

2.     Live on Santa Rosa Island (a self supporting community for pedophiles and sexual offenders);

3.     Remain in prison for life;

Additionally, I will introduce legislation prohibiting registered or unregistered pedophiles from entering California.  The penalties for offenders must be stiff to keep our children safe. As your governor, I will give you, the voters’ opportunities to make changes to the laws as needed.

The longer our current laws remain the same, the more children will be subjected to horrific acts by these predators. WE MUST ACT NOW! 

It may be hard to believe and you may ask me, “Why give pedophiles a safe haven to live?” The answer is simple. As your governor I know this is the easiest and fastest way to have pedophiles out of our neighborhoods. They will be placed into a controlled environment that promotes abstaining from sexual deviancy.

If a pedophile cannot be cured then why is our government placing them back into our society to hurt our children?  Pedophiles themselves say they do not wish to be as they are but cannot control their desires and actions.  Why not place them in a community of likeness where they can live out their lives away from the very thing that incites their sickness, our children.

Many people would agree the first step to dealing with any obsessive, compulsive, or addictive sexual behavior is to first stop the practice of that behavior and then healing, if possible, may begin.  Most say pedophiles cannot be treated or cured and for that reason I will put them on the “Island,” a place where a male sexual offender may choose to live out his life away from children.

Santa Rosa Island is the island that will be used as a “Pedophile Island”.  Santa Rosa Island is part of the Channel Islands off the coast of California. Santa Rosa Island was a cattle ranch until 1994. As pedophile “Island “it will be used for farming and ranching to sustain its occupants.  Santa Rosa Island is the second farthest out of the Channel Islands. It currently is deserted and used as a state and federal park. The maintenance of Santa Rosa Island is a waste of taxpayer’s money.  Most of the visitors who go there are Park Rangers or environmentalists, not the general public. So using it as a pedophile island will not cost the taxpayers any additional money. Millions of dollars will be saved by the elimination of the current prison and probation system in place for pedophiles.

This “Island” will provide a place where pedophiles can live out their existence away from the majority population and most importantly, our precious children. The “Island” community will be self-supporting by its own members. Those offenders who are currently residing in our neighborhoods will be told to choose one of the three (3) choices above but will not be allowed to continue to live in our neighborhoods. Those sexual offenders who are currently in the prison system convicted as a pedophile will have the option to apply to go to the “Island”.

THE ISLAND SOCIETY

The first of pedophiles to go to the island would be a lead team for “their society” such as police, fire personnel, judges, fish and game agents, forest rangers, ranchers, farmers, building contractors, surveyors, and the like to establish the “Island” community.  This lead team will be responsible for creating a master plan for the “Island.  The “Island’s” master plan will include the construction of city hall, a medical facility, water department, police and fire departments, as well as provide for the farm, ranch and housing areas. All construction will be completed by the pedophiles assigned to the “Island”.  The first order of business will be to establish temporary housing, the farm, and the ranch. The “Island” pedophiles will write their own “Island” constitution. The constitution will be reviewed for any improvements by a State of California department to be formed to oversee the “Island”. This will all occur until enough pedophiles have moved to the “Island” making the “Island” community self-sufficient.  This “Island” will represent a way of life that has long since been forgotten: one in which our forefathers came to this land with a wagon, some animals, seed, and tools, looking for water and land to build their lives around. These men will be provided these things so that they may keep themselves busy and build their own lives while staying out of trouble. Life on the “Island” will include certain restrictions such as they may never leave the “Island”, and they may never bring children to the “Island”.  If they don’t want to live this way they should have left the state. However, once they choose the island that will be their home for the duration of their life. I don’t want them on California’s mainland!  And Mom’s and Dads’ don’t want them here either!

Changing the current system for pedophiles and bringing the “Island” to reality can be accomplished by issuing a voting MANDATE to this one cause. Our current mentally sick government bureaucracy may tell us we cannot do this. They will talk with authority and power, but I tell you WE CAN DO THIS.  We cannot let the government scare us! We will be firm as all good fathers, mothers, and concerned citizens can and will be. You can do this. We will support each other to not give up! You can do this, YES, YOU CAN! E-mail all of your friends, relatives, and more even if out of state and even out of country.  Have a neighborhood “CHILD SAFETY PARTY”;  go to your grocery store to gather the signatures necessary to petition for the safety of our children.  Visit this website’s “Volunteers” tab for more information.  Douglas Hughes For Governor is the best choice to change the law! Please do not put this off for another time or for someone else to do. The longer the law stays the same, the more children will be raped and killed. WE MUST ACT NOW!

I know that when this bill is placed on the ballot, the majority of citizens will vote for the establishment of the “Island”. I KNOW THIS CAN BE DONE! If, the majority of the mothers and fathers vote for the pedophiles to be removed from the mainland of California, it will be done. I URGE YOU TO PUT THE CHILDREN FIRST!

If you really want the pedophiles out of your neighborhood and out of California like I do, then you and all of the moms and dads can save the children of California, by voting for DOUGLAS HUGHES for GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.

The day that I become Governor, I will put this to a vote – to remove all the pedophiles and sexual offenders from our neighborhoods and return those neighborhoods to the majority population who do not practice immoral sexual behaviors that harm children.

Megan’s Law has done much to enforce the laws concerning pedophiles but there are still many holes in the system whereby Pedophiles continue to rape our children and fail to report their whereabouts and/or still reside within blocks of local elementary schools. Little, if anything at all, is done unless a neighborhood speaks up. Right now at this moment the Meghan’s Law website reflects that there are at least 10 pedophiles residing within a 10 mile radius of Price Elementary School located in central Anaheim. I wonder if any of the parents really know. Two (2) of those pedophiles are listed as being at the same apartment complex!!!  These men have been convicted of serious crimes against children and are living within one (1) block of an elementary school.

This is the ONLY HUMANE WAY and COST EFFECTIVE WAY of handling convicted Pedophiles and sexual offenders.  They already receive a subsidy which includes free bus passes, a cell phone, and temporary housing, when released from prison, some are wealthy entrepreneurs who return to their life only to rape again. Some are living on our streets homeless and untraceable.  Even Salvation Army is now refusing to house them. The “Island” can prevent this by providing a type of confinement that still offers them the opportunity of a decent life without temptation of children. By making the “Island” a self-sufficient community we are saving millions of dollars per year and more. By securing a place away from the general public we make our neighborhoods safe again. Just think about it and vote HUGHES FOR GOVERNOR.  Together we can SAVE THE CHILDREN.

I pledge to provide pedophiles with a society of like individuals where they can live and work without conflict and do no harm to children – a humane place for these sick people to live out their lives if they so choose.
